Rookie Pitcher Takes the Mound for Home Opener

Rookie RHP pitched 5 inn striking out 10 Lugnut batters while at the plate going 3-4 (2) 2B and 4 RBI. Chase teammates gave him plenty of run support by dropping 13 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Braves batters pounded out 17 hits on the day while getting plunked 6x's and 7 walks. There were plenty of opportunities for the Braves on the day to score. Fellow rookies Brad Spletter and Dan Smith combined 4-5 with 2 doubles, 4 RBIs and 2 walks.

If the Rookie trio keeps this up, it’s going to be an interesting season for the Braves with getting production out of the Rookie class.
