The Belvidere Bombers originally started as a 13u rec team, and they were formed in late 2012. They lasted six years under Coach William Zonzo until all players went off to college, gave up baseball, got jobs, etc..

For most Bombers, it was the end of their careers. That is until former Bombers Josh Kugler, Andrew Taft, and Jacob Taft joined the Roughriders of the NIMBL in 2023, and after playing two seasons, Kugler & J. Taft decided it was time to bring the Bombers back to life. 

Kugler, Taft, and fellow Bomber & Roughrider alumni Gerardo Moraza and Anthony Radaha brought back the Belvidere Bombers for the 2025 NIMBL season. They plan to keep the Bomber name alive, and they're looking to bring home some hardware while doing so.
